Street Photography – Signs

Most recently James has been documenting the traces that a hidden segment of urban inhabitants leave on the fabric of a city. By bringing her eye to graffiti on walls and sidewalks, hand-made lamppost posters, and devised street signs, she examines the singular longings of people that wish to be heard and highlights their embodied presence in time and space.

Sometimes these found messages form an expressive narrative.
